SAFETY WAIVER, TERMS & CONDITIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK

Operator: Kokopelli Ltd., trading as Natas Sauna
Location: Sarsfields, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland
Last updated: 24 October 2026

Please read this document carefully before booking or using our facilities. It applies to all sauna, ice bath, cold plunge and jacuzzi/hot tub sessions at Natas Sauna.

1. BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

Cancellations and requests to reschedule must be made at least 4 hours before the scheduled session.

Cancellations made less than 4 hours before the session, late arrivals resulting in a missed session, and no-shows are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling credit, except where required by law.

Customers should arrive in sufficient time to prepare for their session. Late arrival does not automatically extend the booking.

Natas Sauna may cancel, interrupt or reschedule a session where necessary for safety, equipment failure, weather conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where we cancel a session, an appropriate refund or alternative booking will be offered in accordance with applicable law.

Nothing in this policy affects customers' statutory consumer rights.

2. HEALTH DECLARATION

Sauna bathing, cold-water immersion and hot-tub use place demands on the body and may not be suitable for everyone.

Before participating, customers must consider their own health and seek appropriate medical advice if they have a condition that could make these activities unsafe.

Particular caution is required for anyone who is pregnant or may be pregnant, or who has a history of heart disease, abnormal blood pressure, breathing difficulties, asthma, diabetes, seizures, fainting, circulation problems or other relevant medical conditions.

Certain medications and substances may affect temperature regulation, blood pressure, alertness or the body's response to heat and cold.

Customers must not participate while under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, or when experiencing illness, dizziness, unusual weakness or other symptoms that may affect their safety.

Customers must inform staff of any immediate safety concern or assistance they require. Customers must not knowingly disregard medical advice or conceal a condition that creates an immediate risk to themselves or others.

Natas Sauna does not provide medical assessments or guarantee that participation is medically suitable for any individual.

3. SAUNA SAFETY

Customers must:

  • Follow posted instructions and staff directions.

  • Enter and leave carefully, as floors and surfaces may be slippery or hot.

  • Sit on a towel where required and maintain appropriate hygiene.

  • Avoid touching heaters, heating elements or other hot surfaces.

  • Never place clothing, towels or other objects on or near the heater.

  • Never add oils, fragrances, substances or excessive water to the heater without staff permission.

  • Leave the sauna immediately if feeling dizzy, faint, nauseated, unusually weak or unwell.

  • Take appropriate breaks, cool down gradually and maintain adequate hydration.

  • Respect the posted session limits and avoid prolonged exposure.

Running, horseplay and unsafe behavior are prohibited.

4. ICE BATH AND COLD PLUNGE SAFETY

Cold-water immersion can cause sudden changes in breathing, heart rate and blood pressure, even in otherwise healthy individuals.

Customers must:

  • Enter slowly and carefully, using available steps or supports.

  • Keep their head above the water.

  • Never dive, jump or deliberately submerge their head.

  • Never practise breath-holding, hyperventilation or underwater breathing exercises.

  • Avoid forcing themselves to remain immersed when experiencing distress.

  • Exit immediately if they experience chest discomfort, dizziness, confusion, uncontrolled breathing, numbness, weakness or other concerning symptoms.

  • Follow staff instructions and posted immersion limits.

  • Allow their breathing and circulation to settle when moving between hot and cold facilities.

Customers must not attempt to compete over immersion duration or encourage others to exceed their limits.

5. JACUZZI AND HOT-TUB SAFETY

Hot water may cause overheating, dizziness, dehydration and changes in blood pressure. Shared water facilities also carry hygiene and infection risks.

Customers must:

  • Shower before entering.

  • Enter and exit carefully.

  • Follow posted temperature, occupancy and time limits.

  • Keep their head above the water and avoid deliberate underwater breath-holding.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure or using the jacuzzi when feeling unwell.

  • Never use the facility while intoxicated.

  • Avoid using the jacuzzi with an infectious illness, open or uncovered wounds, or other conditions that may create a hygiene risk.

  • Report any concerns about water quality, temperature or equipment to staff immediately.

Customers must not interfere with jets, controls, filtration equipment or other operating systems.

6. SUPERVISION AND EMERGENCIES

Staff are present on the premises during operating sessions and carry out routine checks of the facilities approximately every 15–20 minutes.

Staff presence and routine checks do not constitute continuous personal observation or one-to-one supervision of every customer.

Customers must remain attentive to their own condition, follow safety instructions and immediately alert staff if assistance is needed.

Customers must not enter restricted areas, interfere with safety equipment or use facilities that have been closed.

In an emergency, customers should alert staff immediately and follow emergency instructions. Emergency services in Ireland can be contacted on 112 or 999.

Natas Sauna may stop a session, refuse further participation or require a customer to leave where reasonably necessary for safety.

7. CONDUCT, HYGIENE AND PROPERTY

Customers must behave respectfully toward staff and other guests.

Harassment, aggressive behavior, dangerous activities and deliberate misuse of facilities are prohibited.

Customers must follow hygiene requirements, wear appropriate swimwear and use changing areas respectfully.

Personal belongings remain the responsibility of their owners. Customers should avoid bringing valuables onto the premises.

Customers may be held responsible, where legally appropriate, for damage caused through deliberate misconduct or negligence.

Natas Sauna may refuse admission or end participation for serious breaches of safety rules or unacceptable conduct, subject to applicable law.

8. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK

Customers acknowledge that sauna, ice bath, cold plunge and jacuzzi activities involve inherent risks.

These may include burns, overheating, dehydration, fainting, falls, slips, sudden cold-water shock, breathing difficulties, changes in blood pressure, cardiac complications, infection and other injury.

Some risks may arise unexpectedly, including where a person has no previously known medical condition.

By participating, customers acknowledge these risks and agree to follow the safety instructions and exercise reasonable care for themselves and others.

Participation is voluntary.

9. RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY

Natas Sauna will take reasonable care in operating and maintaining its facilities and meeting applicable legal duties.

Customers are responsible for following instructions, using facilities appropriately and making reasonable decisions about their own participation.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Nothing in this agreement removes customers' statutory rights under Irish law.

Acknowledgment of the risks inherent in these activities does not constitute a waiver of rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. AGE REQUIREMENTS AND INDIVIDUAL CONSENT

The minimum participation age is 16.

Children under 16 are not permitted to use the facilities.

Participants aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout their visit.

A parent or legal guardian must provide the required consent for a participant aged 16 or 17, and the young participant must also acknowledge the safety rules in an age-appropriate manner.

Each adult participant must individually read and accept this Safety Waiver and Terms & Conditions before using the facilities.

A group organiser's booking or acceptance does not replace the individual acknowledgment required from other adult participants.
